If you've already tested your business idea, conducted initial market research, and are moving towards launching your products or services, it's crucial to ensure their quality.

Quality assurance begins with documenting the requirements for production processes. This documentation typically takes the form of technical specifications (TS). TS outlines the rules and regulations for various stages of production, packaging, labeling, transportation, and storage. It also includes safety and environmental protection guidelines, as well as protocols for disposing of defective products and waste.

Technical specifications are usually developed for a specific product type or a group of similar products with shared characteristics. Group technical specifications cover two or more products with common functionalities, design features, and quality indicators, and are classified under a single DKPP code.

Developing technical specifications (TS) is a collaborative and creative process involving close interaction between the Contractor and the Customer. It's essential for the Customer to actively participate in this process, providing comprehensive information to the Contractor. During the development and approval stages, the specifications are submitted to the Customer for verification to ensure they align with the desired production process and enable the production of high-quality products or services that meet specified requirements.

The cost of developing technical specifications depends on various factors. To calculate the cost accurately, please submit an

Application with the following details:

  • Name, purpose, and UKTZED/DKPP code of the product/service.

  • Manufacturer/owner details of the TU.

  • Scope of the project.

  • Storage specifications.

  • Production process features.

  • Packaging method and types.

The development process typically takes up to 10 working days. The estimated cost for developing technical specifications is 8800 UAH, but please note that this is subject to clarification and individual calculation based on specific project requirements.

Developed technical specifications are recorded and can be entered into the Database of Technical Specifications of Ukraine upon the customer's request.

The next crucial step is to obtain the conclusion from DSEE regarding the approved technical conditions by the manufacturer.

Since October 1, 2023, conclusions from the State Expertise Service (SES) have been discontinued.

Upon receiving the DSEE's conclusion on the technical specifications, the manufacturer can proceed to apply for the registration of the Conclusion on production or service.

All information related to the development of technical specifications is strictly confidential and cannot be disclosed or transferred to third parties. Technical specifications are also protected by current legislation in Ukraine as intellectual property, and their use is only possible with written permission from the owning enterprise.
